Multi Trades  Carpenter / General Builder

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity for a high quality Multi Trades Carpenter/ General Builder.

You will be proficient in your own trade along with high quality skills in other trades.

Due to the success of the company we are looking to expand our team and recruit highly skilled individuals to work on varied and exciting projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work will include property renovations, extensions, fitted kitchens & bathrooms, refurbishments and garage conversions.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Able to work on own initiative but also part of a team.
  • Complete daily timesheets
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Focus on customer service and providing a high standard of work is essential.
  • You must be organised, methodical, enthusiastic with ambition to grow with a growing company
  • Own tools
  • Flexible in working arrangements; willing to travel throughout the company’s area of operation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • General Building skills and site set up
  • Basic plumbing/drainage an advantage
  • 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
  • Renovation and Restoration Carpentry an advantage
  • Wall & Floor tiling an advantage
  • Compliance with current building practices, and health and safety regulations.
  • Asbestos Awareness an advantage
  • No criminal record, as Disclosure Certificate will be applied for.
  • Prioritisation Skills and Methodical Work Planning
  • Organisational and Problem solving
  • Ability to work under pressure to required deadlines

Senior Administrator

Role summary:

  • Support the Directors in managing client expectations
  • Ensure the administration processes within the office run smoothly and efficiently

Location:  Thurston, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Key responsibilities:

Understanding of the Construction Industry would be an advantage.

Providing admin support to both the Directors, whom are very much hands on.

Liaising and corresponding with our Customers, Suppliers, Sub Contractors, Architects and Building Control.

An understanding of Health & Safety and CDM Regulations would be an advantage, but not essential.

Excellent verbal and written communication

Provide ad hoc project support

Demonstrate a proactive attitude

Arrange meetings and scheduling

Preparing proposals and Job Specifications.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Being highly organised and able to multi-task and deal with conflicting priorities

Maintaining high levels of accuracy and having excellent attention to detail

Continuously improving – have a passion to succeed and are always looking to learn and develop so they can improve in their role.

35 hour per week contract, working Monday – Friday  9.00am-5.00, with a 1-hour lunch break

What’s in it for you?

Salary £22,000 – £25,000 depending on experience with the opportunity for it to rise related to performance. In addition to this, we also offer a profit related bonus structure.
